What to expect

Itinerary

Embark on an unforgettable navigation through the legendary Strait of Magellan, discovering two of Chile’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries.

Our journey begins with a short transfer from Punta Arenas to Laredo Bay, where we board a comfortable speedboat for a scenic 45‑minute ride to Magdalena Island. As we approach, you’ll be greeted by the sight — and sound — of thousands of Magellanic penguins. This island hosts over 60,000 penguins every year, making it one of the largest colonies in the country. Accompanied by our expert guide, you’ll walk among these fascinating birds for about one hour, learning about their behavior, nesting habits, and the pristine environment they call home.

We then continue our navigation to Marta Island (weather permitting), where more than 1,500 sea lions bask along the coastline. Keep your camera ready to capture imperial cormorants, Antarctic terns, dolphin gulls, and — with a bit of luck — sightings of southern dolphins, Peale’s dolphins, or even majestic sei whales.

After an extraordinary encounter with Patagonia’s marine life, we return to the pier and transfer back to Punta Arenas, filled with memories of an experience you’ll treasure forever.
