What To Expect

Itinerary

We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Dock of our city, heading towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia, seeing the most important buildings such as the Maritime Museum (old prison) , Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains.

We sail towards the southwest, approaching Los Lobos Island, where, from the boat, we can enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting.

Continuing navigation, we will head towards the Isla de Los Pájaros, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged area to spot specimens of marine birdlife.

We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name. On these islets it is possible to see parts of Monte Cervantes, a ship that shipwrecked in 1930.

At all these points of interest, the catamaran will stop and make several turns to make it easier for passengers to take the best photographs.

Following the southern coast of the Big Island of Tierra del Fuego we will see the Estancia Remolino where the ship Monte Sarmiento is stranded.

Crossing the Beagle Channel in a North-South direction we will see Gable Island and the Puerto Williams Naval Base (located on Navarino Island, Republic of Chile).

When we arrive at Martillo Island we approach the beach and stay there. It is amazing to observe how the colony of Magellanic and Gentoo Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with notable curiosity, enter the sea by swimming under the catamaran and re-emerging. A party that invites us to take countless photographs.

From here we sail back to the Tourist Dock, seeing the Túnel and Fique Estancias along the way. Note: Maritime Crossing subject to weather conditions that may alter its route or duration.
