What To Expect
Itinerary
We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Dock of our city, heading towards the Beagle Channel, enjoying as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia, seeing the most important buildings, Maritime Museum (old prison), Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains.
We head to the Bridges Islands where we make our stop and descent. It is important to highlight that the walk that is done during this visit is not difficult and is within the reach of anyone.
In addition to having the experience of walking on a small island in the middle of the Beagle Channel, the objective is to appreciate the following three fundamental attractions:
Conchero Yámanas: archaeological remains of the original inhabitants of the Beagle Channel.
A few meters from the pier there are warehouses from the Yámanas or Yaganes settlements, we are going to enter one of them and, based on the guide’s explanations, we will imagine how they lived.
In addition, a cut in the shell wall will allow us to better understand and observe the stratification of the discarded mussel shells.
Interpretation of the particular flora of an island in the middle of the Beagle Channel.
By touring the interpretation circuit, we will be able to appreciate the particular development of the plants, flowers and fruits in this special ecosystem.
We board again and sail towards the southwest, approaching Los Lobos Island, where, from the boat, we can enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting.
Continuing navigation, we will head towards the Isla de Los Pájaros, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants and a privileged area to spot specimens of marine birdlife.
We continue towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name, where the ship Monte Cervantes was shipwrecked in 1930.
At all these points of interest, the catamaran will stop and make several turns to make it easier for passengers to take the best photographs.
The return will be through Paso Chico, seeing the Túnel and Fique Estancias, we return to Ushuaia, with a view of the imposing frame that gives the city Mount Martial and the glacier of the same name.
